Veteran Program Facilitator
Josh Kaplan spent seven years in the United States Marine Corps where he gained a tremendous amount of real-world situational experience. As an Infantry Platoon Leader, he managed 33 Marines and served in Al Fallujah, Iraq where he trained and conducted strategic operations with the Iraqi Army. From there, he earned his Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry which led him to the analytical lab at GlobalFoundries where he is currently the leading expert in Micro-Contamination of cleanroom environments. Josh just recently completed his Masters of Science in Engineering Management from Clarkson University.
Josh is a founding member and president of the University at Albany Veterans Association, an organization committed to assisting veteran integration into the higher education community and helping veterans succeed after their military service. He is a Play for Your Freedom Ambassador and one of the local Capital Region United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots coordinators, where he has volunteered for the past 17 years.
