Kendra Rubin currently serves as Chief Legal Officer to SEFCU, one of the top financial institutions in the Capital Region, whose mission is changing lives every day.    

 

Before joining SEFCU, she served as Vice President of Government Affairs to the New York Credit Union Association (NYCUA).

 

Kendra also served as a long-time member of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s administration in a variety of roles including on his senior staff as his Director of Appointments, Assistant Counsel to the Governor, and as the Governor’s Briefer. 

 

A life-long horse lover and daughter of a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, Kendra started riding at age two while her family was stationed at Camp Pendleton.  Upon her father’s retirement from the USMC her family returned to Upstate New York where Kendra grew up.

 

She and her husband live on a small farm in Rensselaer County, New York with their daughter, three horses, and a menagerie of other animals. 

 

Saratoga WarHorse marries her passions for Veterans’ affairs, horses, and dedication to service.  She joined the Board in February 2021.
